Arkansas Procurement Opportunities Conference June 3

The Arkansas State Chamber of Commerce is partnering with the U.S. Small Business Administration, and others, in hosting the Arkansas Procurement Opportunities Conference on June 3 at the Statehouse Convention Center in Little Rock. If you haven’t registered for this free conference, or have small or minority businesses in your area that would benefit from attending, go to www.arkansasprocurement.com for more information or to register. This is an opportunity for small and minority businesses to meet, one-on-one, with 150 federal, state and local procurement professionals, prime contractors and major corporations. AEDC is partnering in this event and will be working to schedule follow-up appointments between buyers and sellers. You don’t want to miss it.

So far, our This Place Matters campaign has been incredibly successful; hundreds of people have submitted photos about places that matters to them.
We're gathering all of the submissions together into a photo mosaic of our beautiful 1916 Beaux Arts Headquarters building in Washington, D.C. It’s a great way to view all the This Place Matters photos in one place AND get inspired to submit your own photos of the places that matter to YOU.
This Place Matters helps people call attention to special places in their community -- some small, some great, some famous, some infamous, some beloved community treasures, some forgotten and facing demolition -- but all part of a larger sense of place that helps define us as a nation.
So get out there with your cameras and start a conversation in your community! Visit our This Place Matters page to view all the photos and learn how to submit your own.
