Uncharitable
How Restraints on Nonprofits Undermine Their Potential
A leading expert on innovation in the nonprofit sector and philanthropy, Dan Pallotta will discuss his book "Uncharitable," which questions society’s fundamental canons about charity and calls for a dramatic shift in the current way charities are regulated.
Pallotta's insurgent thesis is that society’s nonprofit ethic undermines its ability to eradicate great problems, and, ironically, puts charity at a severe disadvantage to the for-profit sector at every level. There are two rule books; one for charity, and one for everything else, Pallotta argues.
